HOW TO SIGN-UP FOR ATHLETICS
Student Registration Information
Online Registration
Parents must complete the online registration.
Both the parent and student are required to sign the Code of Conduct section.
Registration must be completed on a laptop, desktop computer, or iPad. Please do not use a phone, as we have experienced errors with mobile registrations.

Required Documents
Upload a current physical signed by a physician and dated after April 15, 2026. This is an MHSAA requirement.
Paper copies will not be accepted. All documents must be uploaded during the online registration process.
Rec & Ed Payment Receipt
Upload your Rec & Ed receipt showing payment of the $265 insurance and Pay-to-Play fee before your student can be approved for Monday, August 10 tryouts.
If you already have a Rec & Ed account, please use that same account to register your student and pay the fee.
Important: If you select the Club Sport option for a sport that is not a club sport, your registration will be denied.
Tryout Eligibility
Students may not participate in any tryouts on Monday, August 10 until:
Their online registration is complete.
Both the physical and Rec & Ed receipt have been uploaded.
All registration materials have been reviewed and approved.
Free & Reduced Lunch Information
The Free & Reduced Lunch application for Huron students is

If your family was approved for Free or Reduced Lunch last school year, those benefits remain active for the first 30 days of the new school year. However, all families must reapply by October 1. We encourage you to complete the application as soon as possible.

Visit A2Schools.org.
Click Departments (far right), then select Food Service.
On the right side of the page, open the second drop-down menu.
Click Ann Arbor Family Portal (marked with the big red arrow).
On the next page, click Apply for Benefits.
After you apply, you will receive an email from Food Services indicating whether your application has been approved or denied, and whether you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch.
Important: If this process is not completed by October 1, your athlete may be required to sit out until eligibility has been verified.
Fee Waiver Code (Free & Reduced Lunch Families)
After you have been approved for Free or Reduced Lunch, you must:
Complete the 2026–2027 Share Form.
Return the completed form to the Athletic Office.
Once both steps have been completed, Mrs. Heiney will issue your Rec & Ed code. Please allow 24–48 hours for processing.
Please note: A code cannot be issued until:
Your Free & Reduced Lunch application has been approved, and
The completed 2026–2027 Share Form has been received.
